Launches New Line of High-Performance Connexstar Services
Spacenet recently introduced the latest generation of its Connexstar
pre-packaged VSAT services, designed to deliver high-performance satellite
communications for business and government users. Connexstar services
are offered in three series: Connexstar Performance, Connexstar
Broadband, and Connexstar Transaction.
Each is optimized to support different application environments, ranging
from transaction-based remote monitoring to fully converged voice, video
and data solutions.
Connexstar
Performance Series offers the highest speeds in the industry
at up to 3Mbps and a network optimized exclusively for converged communication
environments, simultaneously supporting toll quality digital voice, two-way
video conferencing, as well as broadband data and web applications.
Connexstar
Broadband Series offers a commercial grade high-speed satellite
service, at speeds up to 2Mbps, optimized for corporate data, web based
applications, and general broadband data usage.
Connexstar
Transaction Series provides a highly reliable always-on narrowband
satellite link optimized to support high-frequency transaction based traffic
from retail point-of-sale applications, SCADA or remote monitoring devices
and more.

Efforts. Alan Kittson has joined Spacenet as Vice President of
Government Services Sales. Kittson will oversee the strategic direction
and sales efforts of Spacenet’s expanded government services unit, providing
satellite network solutions for federal, state and local government markets

the company as its Vice President of Product Management. In this new role,

Innovative Mobile Telemedicine Program Chooses Spacenet
Spacenet was selected by Oklahoma State University Center for Health
Sciences Telemedicine Center to provide satellite network services for
its new mobile telemedicine clinic. The OSU Center for Health Sciences,
its College of Osteopathic Medicine and affiliated teaching hospital support
one of the largest statewide telemedicine programs in the nation.
The OSU Telemedicine Center is using Spacenet’s satellite network services
with Cisco technology to support its mobile medical facility. Spacenet’s
advanced Connexstar satellite services with auto-acquisition antenna technology
provide the ability to rapidly deploy communications solutions virtually
anywhere in the United States and serve as an ideal solution for emergency
response. OSU Telemedicine is utilizing Spacenet’s on-demand satellite
services to support its data communications and Voice over IP (VoIP) for
the mobile telemedicine clinic. To
