 Spacenet acheived a significant milestone in October by celebrating its 25th anniversary! For the past 25 years, Spacenet has been a leader in developing custom networking and communications solutions for customers of all sizes including some of the world's largest commercial WANs.

Announces Networking Services Contract Extension with Sunoco and H-E-B

Spacenet has signed a five-year enterprise networking services contract with H-E-B. In addition to providing satellite connectivity to all Texas based H-E-B retail stores, Spacenet is also providing its SmartCare™ enterprise-grade network management services.
Spacenet has provided services, including private hub network services, to H-E-B since 1988. H-E-B's new VSAT network utilizes Spacenet's Connexstar SE Enterprise Partition (EP) service, which provides a partitioned central hub infrastructure and dedicated network bandwidth for a secure private network for selected retail locations. The upgraded satellite network supports POS polling, back-office applications, multicasting and pharmacy fulfillment.
Spacenet is also providing its advanced SmartCare managed network services,
which deliver advanced network monitoring, management and performance
measurement services to enhance network reliability and security. As part
of the service, Spacenet will proactively monitor and respond to problem
resolution issues to provide maximum performance and reliability for critical
applications.

Sunoco has signed a five-year enterprise networking services contract
extension. As part of the agreement, Spacenet is providing upgraded satellite
networking and managed services at approximately 900 company-owned retail
stores across the United States.
As part of the agreement, Sunoco stores will be upgraded to the Gilat SkyEdge™ VSAT platform, enabling faster speeds, stronger security and significantly improved bandwidth efficiency. In addition, Spacenet will also provide hybrid network management solutions and application services.
