Spacenet creates subsidiary to provide solutions to government customers

McLean, VA., May 9, 2005 – Spacenet Inc., a leading provider of wide-area networking services to enterprise, small-business and residential users, today announced the formation of a wholly owned subsidiary to serve the needs of government customers. Spacenet Government Services, Inc. will market Spacenet’s satellite, hybrid terrestrial and application services to federal and state government entities, both directly and through government integrator partners.

Spacenet has more than 20 years of developing commercial best practices and delivering complete secure connectivity solutions to commercial users, including some of the world’s largest networks. Now these high-performance VSAT and hybrid networks will be available to government users in customized solution packages. These services are specifically designed to meet the security, reliability and performance requirements of military, homeland security/first responder and other government agencies.
