Spacenet’s new Connexstar EP service offers the benefits of private hub satellite networks without the cost
McLean, VA, August 1, 2005 Spacenet Inc. today announced it has extended its services portfolio with the new Connexstar Enterprise Partition (EP) service. Connexstar EP provides a partitioned central hub infrastructure and dedicated network bandwidth without the capital burden of purchasing a dedicated private hub.
Connexstar EP provides customers with private customizable inbound and outbound bandwidth, offering the ability to tailor bandwidth according to the application requirements of the network. Connexstar EP is highly scalable, and can easily be expanded with additional bandwidth to meet the requirements of new applications. The service includes dedicated bandwidth, remote site equipment, professional installation, always-on connectivity and support for a broad range of enterprise applications.
Spacenet President and CEO Bill Gerety said, “Spacenet is excited to offer Connexstar EP as part of our continuous effort to expand our product portfolio with high-value products and services. Customers can benefit from Connexstar EP’s ability to provide increased quality and reliability at a much lower cost than a private hub. Connexstar EP’s scalability has attracted a great deal of interest from our customers who initially contracted with Spacenet for shared-hub services but have found that their needs are growing and changing, and would like more flexibility and customizability.”
