Spacenet introduces SmartCare industry-leading integrated enterprise network management, performance optimization and customer care tools
McLean, VA, March 10, 2006 Spacenet Inc. today introduced its SmartCare suite of enterprise network monitoring, management and troubleshooting services. SmartCare enhances the value of Spacenet networks for enterprise and government customers by providing advanced customer care capabilities as well as a powerful set of tools for tasks ranging from network monitoring and management to performance optimization. Spacenet offers two classes of SmartCare enterprise WAN management services: “Essential” and “Enhanced.”
SmartCare Essential tools provide network status monitoring and basic usage reporting tools for IT professionals, integrated seamlessly into the Spacenet customer portal infrastructure. SmartCare Essential also includes critical customer care elements such as help desk/trouble ticketing services, program management/implementation management and private network configuration. These Essential services are included with Spacenet Connexstar-series shared hub networks at no additional cost.
SmartCare Enhanced services build on the Essential services with more advanced capabilities and more sophisticated tools for customer care. Enhanced tools for enterprise and government IT managers deliver unmatched network visibility and measurement capabilities, including historical reporting and monitoring data for trending and analysis. SmartCare Enhanced services are available in packages for a small monthly per-site subscription charge.
Benefits of SmartCare Essential and Enhanced services include centralized network monitoring and management available through Spacenet’s user-friendly network management portal, quicker network problem resolution with real-time performance information, ability to perform long-term trend analysis and capacity planning, and cost-effective pricing. Some of the data that is accessible through the portal includes site status reports, detailed hub equipment status information, electronic notifications for specific network events, network-level performance and application utilization reports, space segment utilization reports and congestion status reports.
