Inc. today announced the introduction of StarBand Nova satellite
broadband Internet services for small office and residential users,
marking the greatest leap in price/performance in StarBand’s
history. Since its acquisition of StarBand just over a year ago,
Spacenet has been leveraging its 25 plus years of experience providing
mission critical enterprise VSAT services to re-engineer its home
and small office products to a higher standard of service. StarBand
Nova services are aimed at small office and home users looking
for a more reliable, professional-grade broadband satellite Internet
connection at an affordable price.
StarBand Nova uses VSAT technology a generation ahead of previous
versions of the service to deliver faster speeds and improved
service quality at significantly reduced prices (in some cases
hardware pricing is reduced by as much as 70 percent). StarBand
was the first to market with a two-way broadband VSAT service
for home users in 2000, and the newly introduced product line
returns StarBand to a highly competitive position as the “professional’s

StarBand Nova services include two options Nova Ultimate and Nova

on broadband Internet access at speeds of up to 1Mbps download
and 256 kbps upload. The Nova Pro, which is designed for residential
users, offers speeds of up to 512 kbps download and 128 kbps upload.
