Variety Stores, Inc. extends contract with Spacenet for advanced satellite communications at 242 Roses and Maxway retail locations
McLean, VA, May 22, 2007 - Spacenet Inc. today
announced that Variety Stores, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Variety Wholesalers, Inc., has extended its enterprise network
satellite services contract. Variety Wholesalers, based in North
Carolina, operates approximately 500 retail stores in the southeastern
United States. Since 1992, Spacenet has provided network services
to the company supporting its retail applications including point-of-sale
polling and back-office applications. The Spacenet satellite network
is being used at 242 Roses and Maxway retail locations.
