Spacenet appoints Michael C. Hughes as Chief
Financial Officer
McLean, VA, July 23, 2007 - Spacenet Inc. today
announced that Michael C. Hughes has joined the company as its
new Chief Financial Officer. He will have executive responsibility
for Spacenet’s strategic financial planning and accounting
operations.
Michael Hughes brings more than 25 years of experience in finance
and telecommunications, managing both U.S. domestic and international
accounting and financial operations. Prior to joining Spacenet,
he held a range of finance positions including: Senior Manager
for FinSol LLC; Senior Vice President and Controller for Intelsat
Global Service Corporation; Vice President, Finance for Lockheed
Martin Global Communications; and positions with COMSAT World
Systems, Satellite Television Corporation and Price Waterhouse
& Co. Mr. Hughes is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and
earned a BSBA in Accounting from Georgetown University.
