(Nasdaq: GILT), and a leading provider of broadband network solutions, today announced that David Kagan has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Business Development. In this new role, he has responsibility for overseeing initiatives which will support the company’s long term growth and strategic planning.

Kagan has more than 25 years of experience with a broad background in management, business and finance. Previous to Spacenet, Kagan served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Maritime Telecommunications Network, Inc. (MTN) where he led the company through five ownership changes and grew the revenue and profitability of the business substantially during his 12 year tenure at MTN. He also served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Norwegian Cruise Line Ltd where he was responsible for financial operations, mergers and acquisitions, and leading the refinancing of $1 billion of long-term debt. Kagan holds a Masters Degree of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a BA in both Finance and Marketing from the University of South Florida.
