On-Demand Services
Spacenet’s Connexstar On-Demand services offer customers the ability to order a part-time usage-based connection that is perfect for applications such as backup and content delivery. On-Demand services include a built-in monthly usage quota, and customers pay extra only if they exceed their base package.
Each package includes a set amount of usage, with additional usage measured on a per-8-hour increment basis. Spacenet monitors the traffic usage per VSAT and records it in 3-hour usage units (e.g. a VSAT that was active for 30 minutes will be recorded as 1 usage unit; a VSAT that was active for 3 hours and 15 minutes will be recorded as 2 usage units).

On-Demand services are available with the same bandwidth, voice and service level options as full-time Connexstar services. Connexstar On-Demand services also include Spacenet’s SmartCare network monitoring at no additional cost, allowing users to actively monitor and manage their network usage.
