Premium Services:

  • Serial Port Expansion: Can support multiple serial POS/credit devices directly for use with VSAT or terrestrial networks. The serial device data is converted to the X.25 network protocol by Prysm then encapsulated in Internet Protocol for transport across TCP/IP networks such as DSL or VSAT.
  • Secure Transport: Provides IPsec transport of data, including serial POS/credit and firewall applications for secure transport over IP networks.
  • Firewall Service: Provides the ability to set up firewall rules to allow selected devices to communicate with selected hosts. In addition, traffic through the Prysm device can be restricted based upon IP address, port, and protocol type.
  • Hybrid Application Switching: Provides split routing on a per application basis with the ability to specifiy which traffic is routed through VSAT and which traffic is routed through DSL.
  • DSL/VSAT Backup: Provides failover services in the event that an Internet connection loses service. The site equipment automatically routes all traffic to eitheir DSL or to VSAT, depending on which service fails.
  • Dial Backup Service: Can be configured with an optional modem to provide dialup connectivity in case of primary connectivity failure.
    Installation and Maintenance
  • Installation Options: Can be installed together with a VSAT implementation or it can be self-installed by the customer
  • Maintenance: Same Day or Next Day maintenance is available (maintenance can also be added to a customer's existing VSAT maintenance contract).
